World's Tininess Measured Under 5 Inches
Dancer and Ducky, both tiny tiny Chihuahuas, were recently measured in to see who would win the title of Guniess Book of World Records' Smallest Living Dog by Height.
Contender #1: Dancer, a 1 year old long-haired Chihuahua from Lake County, Florida, measured in at 5 inches tall. There was a lot of fanfare surrounding Dancer before his first birthday due to his small stature but dogs aren't eligible for records until they reach a year old. He must have had a small growth spurt because...
Contender #2: Ducky, a 2 1/2 year old short-haired Chihuahua from Massachusettes, came in at whooping 4.9 inches tall! He's so small, he can't really bark. His barks sounds like a quack, thus the name. Says Ducky's owner, "Either people think Ducky's super cute and fall in love with him," she said, "or they think he looks like an alien."
We think both of them are super cutie pies! But maybe we're the chubby chasers of small dogs because we like some bulk and squish to them. It makes snuggling so satifsying.
